July 20/11 – We have lots of whales around right now — Grey, Humpback and several sightings lately of Orcas. This weekend is Ukee Days  – our town’s annual weekend “small town” festival. Friday evening there is a salmon BBQ on the Village Green followed by the Whiskey Dock Run and a sunset boat cruise. Saturday boasts the best little parade you’ll ever see, an antique car show & shine, logger sports, live music, lots of booths at the fairgrounds, a beer garden, and samples of food from our amazing selection of restaurants. Sunday will see more of the same. And it never rains on Ukee Days weekend!

Availability:  We have no availability left in July, and only Aug. 21-24 for 4 nights in Cabin 1, and Aug. 27-28 for 2 nights in Cabin 2. The suite still has availability from Aug. 20th on. The first half of September still has some availability in all 3 units.

May 31/11 – Next weekend is the 9th Annual Food & Wine Festival June 2-5. The weekend of June 11/12 is our 12th Annual Edge to Edge Marathon, with 900 runners between Tofino and Ucluelet.

Hot on the heels of the marathon is the Van Isle 360 yacht race – 42 boats ranging in size from 25′ to 65′ are registered to circumnavigate Vancouver Island, starting in Nanaimo on June 4th and arriving here in Ucluelet on June 13th & 14th. There are 10 legs for a total distance of 580 nautical miles, and finishes back in Nanaimo on June 18th.

May 27/11 – Ucluelet is a-buzz with activity these days. This weekend the Porsche Club is here, proudly displaying their babies in a show & shine for visitors and locals alike to come and admire. This weekend is also the Spot Prawn dock festival as part of Feast — 29 days of culinary activities in both Tofino & Ucluelet, culminating in the 9th Annual Food & Wine Festival June 2-5.  Ucluelet also has a salmon ladder fishing derby on from May until September, with great prizes to be won!
